WaveRunners
Technology & Features

Technology & Features

Ever since our first WaveRunner was introduced in 1986, Yamaha has continued to develop an advanced array of new technologies.
These technologies have not only given Yamaha WaveRunners unbeatable performance but also made them more user-friendly and environment-friendly, while also helping them achieve a level of reliability and durability that no other competitor can match.
In recent years, the demand for higher levels of performance, as well as environmental measures including cleaner exhaust, greater fuel economy and quieter performance, has made the personal watercraft a vehicle that can only be produced by makers having the most advanced technologies at their command.
Yamaha is a maker with a rare combination of DNA that draws not only on the super high-performance engine technologies bred in our motorcycle division but also the technologies bred in our marine division to provide the reliability and durability necessary for the harsh marine environment, plus the boat design and construction technologies bred in our boat division. Yamaha Wave Runners are PWCs that bring together all these technologies in one advanced package.
Here we introduce some of the technologies and features that are built into today’s Yamaha WaveRunners.
