Argentina is a unique PWC market. The main model of PWC is a stand-up type model, SuperJet , and there are a lot of enthusiastic SuperJet riders in this country.
I was contacted by Mr. Christian Creuso, a member of SuperJet group "Jet Ski La Plata" through the WaveRunner Fan Site.
I visited this group to see how they practice using SuperJets.

On April 18, I visited the river La Plata, in which Jet Ski La Plata practices riding every weekend. I conducted an interview with Mr. Martin Carusotti and Mr. Christian Creuso, members of this group. Martin is the owner of a PWC service shop and he repairs and customizes PWC for members and other customers.

YAMAHA: How many members are there in this group?

Jet Ski La Plata: Twenty to thirty members gather and practice SuperJet here in La Plata every weekend. It's an easy-going and friendly group of SuperJet fans and is open to anybody who likes PWC. Anybody can join us for free.

YAMAHA: How do you improve your riding skills in this group? Are there any instructors?

Jet Ski La Plata: Group members teach riding techniques and tricks to each other. He shows me tricks I don't know and I show him other tricks. All of the members are students and at the same time, teachers.

YAMAHA: This is a big advantage of practicing in a group, isn't it?

Jet Ski La Plata: Yes, definitely. Also it is just fun to gather and have lunch together every weekend.

YAMAHA: Why did you choose SuperJet, not other brand?

Jet Ski La Plata: Firstly, it is very light and compact compared to other brand models. The lightness is important for doing free style tricks. Secondly, Yamaha has reliable engine quality. I have been working in PWC servicing, but Yamaha engines do not have mechanical trouble. Almost all of the members chose Yamaha. We like its simple engine.

YAMAHA: Thank you very much for choosing Yamaha! Yamaha released new SuperJet in 2008. Could you give me your frank opinion of the new version?

Jet Ski La Plata: Well, it is very good. The new hull makes it easy to turn, and the short steering pole provides stability even on the choppy water.

YAMAHA: Let me ask you about your SuperJet career. How did you start free style?

Jet Ski La Plata: I have been riding SuperJet for 18 years. I saw a video of free style and tried to do the same tricks as the video. There are waves in a river and I just tried to jump them. At that time nobody taught me how to ride, so it took a lot of trial and error.

YAMAHA: But now you have a lot of SuperJet companions.

Jet Ski La Plata: Yes. These days Jet Ski La Plata's activities have spread worldwide. We invited Ross Champion from Brazil and had a free style event in February.
