Yamaha FX SHO Series Named Watercraft of the Year
Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A. today announced the FX SHO® Series has been named 2008 “Watercraft of the Year” by WaterCraft World® magazine. This coveted award recognizes the personal watercraft (PWC) that best demonstrates excellence in innovation, market appeal, and long-term impact on the industry.
This marks the eighth time that a Yamaha WaveRunner® has been named “Watercraft of the Year” in the last 16 years.
According to Watercraft World® editors, “Yamaha nailed it with the new overachieving SHO. It’s what Yamaha has done beyond performance prerequisites that made the boat stand out for Dream Demo evaluators.”

Watercraft of the Year is the latest in a long list of top awards the SHO series has already garnered, which include the NMMA®’s 2008 Innovation Award, Popular Science® magazine’s “Best of What’s New,” TrailerBoats® magazine’s “Excellence in Design,” and JEC Group’s prestigious Innovation Award.
