A Yamaha GP1300R WaveRunner has set a new Guinness World Record by towing 10 water skiers on Saturday September 4, 2004 at Darling Harbour, Sydney. The record attempt was staged by world-famous water show organizer Jack Ellison and his team and they succeeded in setting a new mark for "Most water skiers behind an aquabike (personal watercraft)." The rules state that the PWC must be a completely standard production model and that all skiers must be successfully skiing simultaneously for at least 1 minute.
For this record attempt, Jack consulted with Yamaha Motor Australia (YMA) concerning the best PWC to use. YMA has a long-standing sponsorship relationship with Jack and his H2O Entertainment company, which organizes exciting water shows around the world, using Yamaha products exclusively.
He also assists in coordinating YMA's popular 'WaveDay' customer events held annually at five locations around Australia.
Congratulations to Jack and his team and the powerful GP1
300R.
