The Yamaha Waverunner Model 2004 was launched at Extreme Park, located at the outskirt of Kuala Lumpur on 9th May 2004.
Invitation cards were sent to water vehicle enthusiats from all over the country two weeks before the Event.
Invited guests started to arrive as early as 9.30 am and when the Event finally took off at 11.00 am, a total of 153 guests were present.
After a short welcoming speech by Mr Jonathan Pak, the Managing Director, the unveilling of Waverunner Model 2004 begins by riders riding each of the craft one at a time beginning with FX160, and then followed by FX140, GP1300, GP800, XL700 and finally SJ700.
Next was a demonstration session with FX140 pulling a knee board & wade board then followed by GP1300 pulling a banana boat with six models sitting on it waving at the audience.
The FX160 was then used to demonstrated various rescue missions for the more serious audience and finally the SJ700 performing various stunts and jumps to the thrilling audience.
The audience were then invited to participate on a test ride on the FX160 and GP1300 around the lake with accompanying marshalls.
And the pinnacle of the Event came with the Time Trial where a total of 23 participants have signed to take part.
The fastest five participants were then rewarded with prizes, souvenirs and their names listed in the Yamaha website.
The Event was finally drawn to a close at 2.30 pm. Food and beverages were served throughout with accompanying pop music and DJ to perk up a carnival atmosphere at the Event.
