A little WaveDay shakedown for the summer of 2003/2004 took place at Governor Phillip Park,
Windsor on the Hawkesbury River at the weekend.
With the official calendar of Yamaha WaveDays still not finalised, the Windsor event nonetheless attracted a sizeable complement of 35 craft to the natural amphitheatre-style
layout, which made for particularly good viewing during S1 competition.
"We've still got a few details to sort out with our next Yamaha WaveDay series," said Yamaha's national watercraft marketing manager Marty Kypr, "but the Windsor event was a great way to sort of get the ball rolling for us.

The WaveDay consisted of a tour down the Hawkesbury River, as well as the usual S1 challenge, Playzone and catered lunch components.
Micheal Buttigieg from Jet One Performance won the Top Ten shootout with a time of 24.66, a time that remained as the quickest of the day, while the Lucky Door prize of 16 litres of
Yamalube went to WaveDay regular Jose Cardoso.
Demo versions of Yamaha’s hot new FX140 cruiser and GP1300 WaveRunner were in attendance, again drawing a deluge of positive comments from prospective future owners, who particularly praised the FX140 Cruiser’s fine handling hull and silky smooth power delivery and GP1300R’s awesome performance.
