LAST EDITION 2002/203 WAS A SUCCESS!
In spite of the bad weather we had in Portugal , on the 29th March, Saturday, on Sunday was surprisingly sunny, welcoming one more Yamaha event.
The 4th Yamaha Slalom Grand Prix took place on the 30th March, Sunday, on the Odivelas Dam, in Ferreira do Alentejo, where the access conditions are excelent.
In this event co-organised with the Jet Center of Lisbon - Fildoni, Lda, we had more than 50 waverunners and about 130 people.
Besides the Slalom, we also had a tour around the Dam , also a race with canoeing, bicycle (BTT) and 1 Super jet, all this in a very enthusiastic and lively atmosphere thanks to the speaker, Mr. Toz Tamboril. The lunch was this time an excellent Barbecue, organised by the brother and sister Filipe Filipe and Ana Filipe.
The enthusiasm by the Slalom is bigger every time . Many of the participants come to this kind of events just to participate on this healthy and salutary "competition".
Waverunners of different years and different models participated on the Slalom but, with no doubt the new models are always the "ex-libris" of this kind of event attracting many to try this kind of competition , as it was the case of the GP1300R.
Giving the prices was also very exciting, where the first prize of the 4 classes went to the same participant always present in these events.
Congratulations for him!
The next Yamaha Slalom Grand Prix will be already in 2003 season.
