YAMAHA at Highest Shipable Lake of the World – Perú

At 25th of the present month, had been realized in the Puno City – Peru, the III Nautical Encounter Titicaca 2005; at the highest navigable lake of the world,

Nicolas Rius, 6 time Wold champion, driven GP1300R Yamaha at Titicaca Lake over 3827m over sea level – Puno – Peru.


Yamaha GP1300R driven by Eduardo Pereyra (Dolphin Runner Manager), taking a ride to a native from UROS (Floating community, descendent from one of the most ancient culture from America).

Titicaca Lake, it locates at 3827 meters over sea level. This event was organized by a local hotel, with the purpose of promoting Puno like one competition date of the World-wide Water vehicle Circuit, and also to promote the tourism and the attractiveness of Peru.

Yamaha Motor del Peru (YMDP) had been present at this event with a GP1300R Wave Runner – YAMAHA, it was driven by Nicolas Rius world famous pilot, six times world champion of International Jet Sports Boating Association (IJSBA), who had also got many World Championships with YAMAHA.

This year is the third consecutive, that this race was developed, in which by addition to the French pilot Nicolas Rius, also had participated excellent National Water Vehicles pilots, joint with Mexican Sergio Farias also many times National Champion of his country.

As part of our approaching to the community policy, YMDP will continue with events like this and others that closes more to our customers, expanding our mark.
